Weeks 0-2: Environment Setup & Mobile Development Basics

Goal: Lay the foundation for mobile app development.

• Environment Setup:
  • Install necessary tools (Xcode, Android Studio, VS Code).
  • Configure development environments for iOS/Android.
• Mobile Development Basics:
  • Learn fundamental concepts of mobile apps:
    • Components, navigation, and state management.
  • Introduction to app UI/UX design basics.
• Hands-On Tasks:
  • Build a simple screen with text, images, and buttons.

Weeks 3-9: App Development Phase

Goal: Design, develop, and build a complete mobile app.

Weeks 3-4: App Planning & UI Development

• Select Your App Idea:
  • Brainstorm and finalize your app concept.
• Build the App UI:
  • Learn about layout, styling, and components.
  • Create screens for your app (Home, Profile, etc.).
• Hands-On Task:
  • Design 2-3 primary screens with user interactivity.

Weeks 5-6: Adding Functionality

• Introduction to State Management:
  • Manage data and user inputs within the app.
• Basic App Features:
  • Add buttons, forms, and simple user flows.
• Hands-On Task:
  • Implement basic app functionality, such as input forms or task lists.

Weeks 7-9: App Completion

• Integrate and Test Features:
  • Combine all app features into a working product.
  • Test app flows and fix bugs.
• Tasks:
  • Add simple navigation between screens.
  • Test the app for usability and performance.

Weeks 10-13: App Store Submission

Goal: Publish your app on the Apple App Store.

• Apple Developer Account Setup:
  • Guide to creating an Apple Developer Account.
• Prepare for Deployment:
  • Create App Store assets (icons, descriptions, screenshots).
• App Submission:
  • Package and submit your app for review.
  • Troubleshoot and finalize app approval.
• Launch:
  • Your app is live on the App Store! 🎉

Deliverables

By the end of the Starter Tier, students will have:
